Sit Spot: Description

Repeat photography is something that a lot of people in the blogosphere do. All there is to it is just a series of photos over time that are looking at a location, a person, or an object.

Since this is a blog about the environment, it is only natural to have repeat photography of a natural area. In the near future I will be posting a series of photos of a sit spot. This sit spot is going to be located in a park located near my home where there is a pond and plenty of herbaceous plants. On top of taking a pretty picture each week, I will have a description of what I see, hear, and smell (hopefully nothing bad). As of right now there is a bunch of snow on the ground, so there isn't too much to say, but I will get a preliminary photo and description by next week.

Why a pond and herbaceous plants?
Well, over the course of a few weeks, the weather will change and bring so many surprises. As of right now I'm not sure what plants and animals are there, but we shall soon find out!

Can't you just take a picture of any random place?
Sure, but to really document the changes, I'm going to pick out a distinct feature (like a rock, or a fence, or a bench, etc.) and make sure I capture the exact spot every time. Doing it this way will make the series will more dramatic!

Here is my challenge to you.
Find a sit spot. Take a photo every week. Watch the changes. Link back here.
